Peace of mind, made in Cape Town
Amani is Swahili for peace. To us it means peace of mind: the calm of knowing you chose something well made, designed with thought and built to last.
A name with roots
Amani is a word spoken across East Africa. We chose it because this continent is where our story happens. It's where we live, where we design and where every piece is made. The name is a promise of how our clothes should make you feel, and a reminder of where they come from.
Where it started
Amani began in 2022 with two women and one problem. Cam, who is French, and Dana, who is Dutch, had both made Cape Town home, and both loved beautifully designed clothes, the kind cut with care from fabric that feels as good as it looks. Finding them here? Not so easy. So we stopped searching and started making, at a cutting table in Cape Town with a pile of fabric and a lot of opinions.
European roots, African home
We design together, from the first sketch to the final fitting. Our European roots shape how we cut and finish: clean lines, beautiful fabric, nothing fussy. Africa shapes everything else: the light, the colour, the pace and the way a dress has to carry you from a long lunch into a longer night. Every piece is made right here in Cape Town, by our own team.

Every piece starts with how it feels on your body, because you can't take on the world while tugging at your hemline. Comfort comes first, confidence follows. We make clothes for women who know their worth and dress like it.
